Natural Products Expo West showcases a thriving and creative group of entrepreneurs, all committed to trying to improve the lives of their customers.  I don’t know how much the mainstream consumer (and voter) knows about the threats that are in the wings for our industry.  FDA wants much more sweeping regulatory control which would be a game changer for many new startups.  Right now our only, or at least strongest, champion is Senator Orrin Hatch….and he is up for reelection. I am not saying that all natural product manufacturers are angels or that these products don’t need regulation.  In my opinion, we need more consistent enforcement of existing regulations rather than creation of more.
